MoU Signed Between United Refineries Botswana & Bombay Finance India

On July 15th, 2016, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between United Refineries Botswana (URB) and Bombay Finance India (BFI), marking a key milestone in cross-border collaboration.
URB, with its vision to establish a state-of-the-art sugar refinery in Francistown, Botswana, aims to produce high-quality sugar and associated derivatives through integrated backward plantation development.
This partnership reflects URB’s intent to engage with BFI in a joint venture, while also receiving technical and managerial expertise essential for the successful setup and operation of the facility.
The MoU further highlights URB’s commitment to associating with industry-leading firms possessing proprietary knowledge, technological know-how, and core component supply capabilities vital for building a world-class sugar manufacturing ecosystem.
